Not recommended
Certified by IAPMO R&T and NSF to NSF/ANSI 58, NSF/ANSI 53, NSF/ANSI 42, NSF/ANSI 401, NSF P231 and CSA B483.1 for Arsenic, Bacteria and Cysts (Cryptosporidium, Giardia) and 20 others. Five-year cost works out to $0.278 a gallon, 21 percent above the under-sink reverse osmosis median of $0.229. It needs a dedicated faucet hole in the sink or countertop.
- Cost of ownership lost 17.7 of its 25 points.
- Certified coverage lost 17.2 of its 40 points.
- The manufacturer does not publish a replacement interval for every filter, so we derived one from the certified capacity, a 3-point deduction and one or more components are left out of the running cost entirely because a certified capacity does not govern their replacement, a further 2-point deduction. The running cost shown is conservative and, where components are excluded, incomplete.
- Practical fit could not be scored — fewer than three of five criteria are known (unknown: cartridge lock-in, third-party filter compatibility, required clearance).

Where sources disagree we publish the figure least favourable to the product: the lower production rate, capacity, reduction or filter life, and the higher permissible limit. The alternative and its source are always shown. See the rule.

Includes the pre and post filter set. GE Appliances publishes no replacement interval for it, so we use the certified capacity of 230 gallons, about four months at 700 gallons a year. It publishes none for the reverse osmosis membrane and replacement filter either, and a certified capacity does not govern them, so they are not in this figure.
Assumes 700 gallons per year. Five-year total and cost per gallon are shown with the buying options.
