Corrections, questions about a figure, and how to reach the people who publish this.

updated 2026-09-21
methodology

If a number on this site is wrong, write to corrections@specindexgroup.com. We aim to answer within three working days, and we correct in public.

Corrections

A correction is the most useful thing you can send us. The fastest way to get one made is to include the page, the figure you think is wrong, and where the right figure comes from — a certifier listing, a manufacturer's performance data sheet, or the product manual.

When we change a figure, the page's last-verified date changes with it and the source that settled it is added to the page's source list. We do not quietly edit numbers.

  • A specification we got wrong: we fix it and re-check the rest of the record.
  • A certification we listed that you cannot find: we re-run the search and either cite the listing or remove the claim.
  • A price that is stale: prices go stale faster than anything else on the site, and a stale price stops rendering rather than showing an old number. Tell us anyway.

If you make a product we cover

We are glad to receive a correction, a specification sheet, or a certification listing number. Two things we do not do, so there is no need to ask: we do not send pages for review before publishing, and we do not accept products, payment or placement. The reasoning is on how we make money.

If your product is listed with a certifier under a contract manufacturer's name rather than your own, tell us the listed name. That single fact resolves most of the certifications we fail to find.

Press and research

Write to hello@specindexgroup.com. Our data is verified against primary sources and every figure on a page carries its source, so you can check anything you intend to quote before quoting it.
